When every detail is carefully planned, when the first dance has been practised for months, and when vows are said with tears, you know you’re witnessing a day like no other. Ali and Reshma’s beautiful winter wedding at Mudbrick was exactly that.

Winter weddings are so special. The days are shorter, the air is crisp, and as evening falls, the glow of candles feels even warmer. Ali & Reshma’s Mudbrick wedding was filled with thoughtful details, gentle moments, and so much love.

The ceremony took place outdoors at The Lodge, one of the most stunning spots at Mudbrick. With breathtaking views over Auckland and Rangitoto Island, it provided the perfect backdrop for Ali and Reshma to say “I do.” The day began with soft winter overcast, but just as the sun started to set, the skies cleared and gifted us the most beautiful golden light.

As the day was short, we had only a little window for portraits. Thankfully, that’s often all we need. We slipped away for a few quiet moments with the newlyweds and captured some beautiful photographs overlooking the vineyard. One of my favourite memories was catching Ali and Reshma’s secretly practising their first dance together before the reception began.

The celebration continued with heartfelt speeches, plenty of laughter, and stories shared by their closest family and friends. And the first dance? Absolutely epic!c

A special mention to the talented team who helped bring the day together. Hair and makeup were beautifully done by The Peach Club. Last, but not least, Aaron Bloomfield seamlessly filled the roles of celebrant, MC, singer, and DJ. The talented team at Floral Essence created the most delicate and elegant floral arrangements. Indigo Waiheke brought the entire wedding vision together with their impeccable styling. Reshma looked absolutely breathtaking in her gown from KWH Bridal, a timeless dress that moved beautifully throughout the day and was the perfect choice for such an elegant Waiheke Island wedding.
