Old Forest School Wedding | Chloe & Jack

Romantic couple portraits at Old Forest School wedding venue gardens.

The sun shone brightly over the Bay of Plenty with not a cloud in sight. It felt as though the sky itself was celebrating Chloe and Jack. From the endless ocean views of Pukehina to the green, whimsical setting of Old Forest School, every moment of this wedding was picture-perfect. Laughter, joy, and love filled the entire day – so much that my cheeks hurt from smiling.

The morning began with both Chloe and Jack preparing for their day, only a few minutes apart in Pukehina. Chloe’s accommodation looked out over the ocean, waves stretching endlessly in front of her. Jack’s place overlooked the tranquil Waihi Estuary, offering a peaceful balance. Among all the excitement, Chloe shared an emotional first look with her dad. It was a heartfelt moment, one of those memories that everyone present will treasure forever.

The ceremony was held in the beautiful Old Forest School house. Couples love this space because it removes the stress of unpredictable weather, while still being full of charm and character. Chloe and Jack’s ceremony was a mixture of laughter, heartfelt tears, and lighthearted jokes. The atmosphere was warm and joyful.

After the ceremony, group photos led into a champagne tower that had everyone smiling. Those giant flowers had a “wow” from me as they were just a chef’s kiss! Bridal party portraits followed, and they were such fun-filled with laughter, playful moments, and a visit to the donkeys (a must when you have an Old Forest School wedding!).

Later, Chloe and Jack slipped away for portraits together. Having photographed their engagement session earlier, trust and comfort were already there. This allowed us to capture moments that were relaxed, natural, and full of connection.

The reception began with Chloe and Jack entering to the sound of cheers and applause. From there, the evening unfolded with heartfelt speeches, warm embraces, and words that touched everyone’s hearts. This is when I always feel the magic of a wedding day come alive.

If you’re still deciding whether to include videography, I always say yes. These moments are priceless, and one day Chloe and Jack will relive their wedding through their video with so much joy.

The night continued with a Father-Daughter dance, followed by the couple’s First Dance beneath festoon lights. The dance floor opened soon after, and the celebration carried on well into the night.

Old Forest School weddings are always such a joy to capture, blending natural beauty with charm and character.
