I first met Katerina and Elliot when I photographed their wedding a year ago. Now, with their family growing, it was time to capture a new chapter of their journey together. Midwinter weather in Auckland can be unpredictable, so instead of chasing the sun we chose to capture their family story indoors at Elliot’s grandmother’s home.

And what a perfect decision that was! The home itself held layers of history. Family photographs on the walls, cosy corners filled with memories, and warmth that set the tone for the day.
