There’s something truly special about waking up on your wedding day to the stunning views of the West Coast. It is exactly what you get when you stay at Castaways Resort in Waiuku.
Harry spent the morning with the boys in one of the villas, relaxed and laughing as they got ready together. Beers in hand, music playing, and that contagious mix of nerves and excitement in the air. Meanwhile, Caitlin was just a stroll away, surrounded by her closest girls, getting ready in a room that overlooked the rugged coastline. It was calm, joyful, and full of sweet little moments — hugs, happy tears, and lots of laughter.
Ceremony
From the moment the ceremony began, you could feel the love radiating between them and from every guest present. Surrounded by their closest friends and family, Caitlin and Harry kept the vibe relaxed and fun — just like them. The sun was high, the ocean sparkled in the distance, and everything felt effortlessly perfect for a wedding at Castaways.
After the vows and happy tears, we popped some bubbles. Not to just celebrate, but to have fun with during the photos with the bridal party. Yes, there was a champagne shower, and it was every bit as wild and golden as it sounds. Lit by the bright afternoon sun, this moment of celebration captured the carefree, joy-filled spirit of the day perfectly.
Reception at Castaways
As the newlyweds made their grand entrance into the reception space, surrounded by cheers and applause, they wasted no time in making the moment memorable.
Instead of waiting until later in the evening, Caitlin and Harry went straight to their wedding cake — cutting the first slice together as husband and wife.
As the sun began its slow descent into the sea, we were treated to one of those unforgettable Castaways sunsets — soft golds and fiery oranges painting the sky, casting a romantic glow over every photo. It’s the kind of setting that feels like it was made just for weddings.
A wedding at Castaways is always special, but Caitlin and Harry’s day felt like something extra — a genuine, joy-filled celebration in the sun, filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable moments.
