Hot Water Beach is one of the most beautiful places on Coromandel for a romantic story. It offers warm rays of sunshine coming through the dunes on one side and, crashing waves living on the other. Many know this place as a perfect spot with less crowds (if planned right), almost untouched surroundings and peace. It is a place where you would come to enjoy long grass, warm sand and uninterrupted sound of nature. People come here to surf or dig a hole to enjoy hot springs. Cassidy and Harry came here for a weekend at Hot Water Beach TOP 10 Holiday Parks and a sunset engagement photo session.
Picture this: a warm day with clear skies delivering golden and hazy sunset over the Coromandel hills. A few surfers in the water patiently waiting for the perfect wave. Empty beach and the sound of crashing water. It couldn’t have been any better setting for a beautiful love story.
As a Coromandel engagement photographer I recommend going on a week day to avoid crowds. Please be aware of a low tide tourists rush hour – the best time to dig a hole and enjoy the hot springs. Depending on how much you are aiming to capture I would suggest starting about 2-1.5 hours prior to the sunset. Sometimes the best light is straight after rain if the sky has cleared a bit. As a local photographer I always watch the weather on the day and stay in touch with my couples all the way through.
Cassidy and Harry brought a bottle of bubbles to pop during the photo session. A brilliant idea for some fun shots!
If you are planning an engagement photo session or would like to organise a surprise proposal on Coromandel, I would love to hear from you! Please get in touch to share your ideas and I will make sure to bring them to life. Or, get inspired by this Engagement photo session with fur babies or this Surprise proposal in Cooks Beach.
